Lee Tae-min (이태민; born July 18, 1993), known professionally as Taemin (태민), is a South Korean singer-songwriter, dancer and actor under SM Entertainment. He is the maknae of the South Korean boy group SHINee and a member of the group SuperM. Aside from group activities, Taemin debuted as a soloist in 2014 with the release of his first extended play, Ace. It peaked at number one on the South Korean Gaon Album Chart, and its lead single "Danger" reached number five on the Gaon Digital Chart. His first studio album, Press It (2016), also charted at number one on the Gaon Album Chart. In July 2016, Taemin made his solo debut in Japan with the release of his second EP, Solitary Goodbye. Taemin released his second Korean studio album, Move, in 2017 and the title track gained attention for its distinctive choreography. In 2018, he released his first Japanese studio album, Taemin, and embarked on his first Japanese tour. In February 2019, Taemin released his second Korean mini-album, Want, with a title track of the same name. His third Korean studio album, Never Gonna Dance Again, was released in 2020, led by singles "Criminal" and "Idea". As an actor, Taemin's first role was as Junsu in the 2009 MBC comedy Tae-Hee, Hye-Kyo, Ji-Hyun.
